At the HRP, we engage in human rights education for communities, policy makers and the media.
HRP’s ongoing policy analysis work serves to frame local, state-level and national issues in human rights terms.
We situates ourself in the timeless tradition of using the arts to raise consciousness, build community, and enunciate social inequities.
Our issue briefs are derived from and expand on the data in our New York City Council Report Card, giving a detailed look at a particular human rights issue that was addressed in Council.
By making major human rights documents accessible to the public, we champion the rights of marginalized groups in the U.S. and build the capacity of social justice groups through education.
